DQ250 TCU SOFTWARE
The DQ250 gearbox was released into Volkswagen AG passenger vehicles back in 2003 and was the first dual-clutch transmission in a series of production cars. The DQ250 found in the Polo/A1 offers a 6-speed DSG transmission with a wet clutch, with various “driving modes” which changes the characteristics of the vehicle. One of the main points of this is economy, and as such, the drive can feel a little underwhelming, especially when increasing the performance of your vehicle.

Revo DQ250 TCU software has been designed for the driven. Working on the characteristics of the gearbox to provide a better driving experience and optimal performance when coupled with our performance ECU software. Holding the gears better in sports mode so it’s not changing up early and allows the engine to be in the right power band more of the time.
Revo TCU Software gives you much more than just increased clamping pressure and quicker shifts. A large part of development is based on driving scenarios and feedback, ensuring an exhilarating experience. Expect smooth and refined response at low RPM & partial throttle, with optimal shift programming for wide-open throttle driving.

DRIVEABILITY
Revo TCU software has been designed alongside our ECU software to not only improve performance but to enhance the feel and driveability of your vehicle. This was the key focus during development, and something that takes time and thousands of miles to achieve. When vehicles are equipped with an Eco/Efficiency drive mode, this uses unique mapping and remains as “stock” to keep all the characteristics.
SHIFTING
Gearshift points in gearbox manual, Drive and S modes have been enhanced and matched with Revo ECU Software. Meaning each gear shift will be at the optimal point to give the best possible performance and fastest acceleration. When at partial throttle, the gearbox isn’t always looking for the highest gear, it holds the current gear longer. Keeping the turbo spooled and the vehicle within the right power band, thus not changing up and down the gears at much and therefore offering a smoother and more enjoyable drive.
- In S Mode gear shifts at 6200rpm
- In Drive Mode gear shifts 6200rpm
- In Manual Mode gear shifts 6400rpm
- In Drive mode at low RPM 2nd gear is held unless you come to a stop
- Removed 'Kickdown' in Manual mode
LAUNCH CONTROL
Launch control calibration has been enhanced which allows you to launch at various RPM points depending on your throttle position, improving your 0-60mph times.
- At 0-50% throttle launch RPM is 2500
- At 60-100% throttle launch RPM is 3000
