Modern cars like the MQB platform run a pretty stiff laser-welded bodyshell. Up front, the chassis is very rigid between the suspension tops, but at the rear there is much more chassis flex which negatively affects vehicle handling in hard use, especially with stiff suspension. That's why the track-focussed limited edition European Golf Clubsport S gets a rear brace fitted from the factory.

The RacingLine Rear Body Brace solves this issue by locking these crucial hard points together. The Brace uses solid billet aluminum mounts secured into beautiful, ultra-stiff carbon fiber link bars drastically stiffening the rear of the chassis. It fits all Golf 7 & 7.5 models, both 5 door and wagon body styles, plus Seat Leon III and Skoda Octavia III.

By reinforcing and tying the rear strut towers together, the brace helps to maintain proper suspension geometry under heavy cornering loads. It removes much of the bodyshell flex, so that the suspension geometry can operate as it was designed to do.

Despite the added stiffness, this improved handling performance comes without sacrificing any ride quality or introducing any additional noise, vibration, or harshness into the cabin.

The clever design means that installation is simple, using existing mounting points into the strongest parts of the body with no drilling, cutting or removal of trim required. All meaning that it’s completely reversible without trace for removal.

The top mounts locate into the strong rear seat mounts, whilst the lower mounts lock into the cargo tie-downs (RacingLine have thoughtfully even added new luggage tie-downs into the new mountings). As every mass-produced car body has small differences in dimensions, the design allows the brace to be tensioned after final fitment for ultra-tight alignment, precise to your car.

RacingLine’s thin, low-profile design means minimumal impact on trunk space and no effect on rear seat operation. It’s compatible with rear seats up or down (or removed altogether). The full interior can be maintained even with the installation of the Rear Body Brace.

As a track-orientated modification, RacingLine have taken a ruthless approach to weight-saving. Solid billet CNC 5-axis machined aluminum mounting brackets are bonded to the ultra stiff 3K twill carbon link bars.

Aerospace-grade T6-6061 Aluminum is used throughout, with FEA-developed triangulation design to maximize stiffness whilst keeping weight down.
