Revolution X - Seat Information

The continued popularity of this full peripheral vision head protection system style of seat has proved hard to improve upon. Subtle detail changes and re-homologation have bred new life into this iconic seat.

As part of re-homologating the Revolution X we have introduced 10mm inserts to allow the use of M10 12.9 high tensile cap head bolt fixings.

Overall seat safety has been improved by a new composite lay up in high-stress areas increasing stiffness, improved energy-absorbing impact foam and the retention of our FHR zone ensuring full functionality, comfort and safe use of FHR devices.

Revolution X has a striking visual appearance thanks to its open head restraint style. We have increased the high grip material in key wear areas, technically improved the base cushion by using moulded foam construction and added a split thigh roll to give unrestricted leg support.

These changes have further enhanced durability, performance and appearance to keep Revolution X a firm favourite. For those competitors who require a seat with head protection, more peripheral vision and who have limited space for the installation of this style of seat, there is no alternative.

Installation with our re-designed pro-team mounts, will ensure that the seat confirms to FIA regulations and performs exactly as it was designed.

 

System Information & Seat Sizing

We offer 3 different shell construction options for our the Revolution X.

SYSTEM 1 - GRP/KEVLAR
Our entry-level shell manufactured using GRP/KEVLAR composite materials.

SYSTEM 3 - KEVLAR/CARBON
Providing a stiffer construction for enhanced chassis feedback, whilst saving weight over our GRP Shell.

SYSTEM 5 - CARBON
Our range topping shell option, combines an aesthetically pleasing design with further weight saving and stiffness.

SEAT SIZING
Revolution X is available in two size options, Standard and XL. Standard is recommended for a waist size up to 32”, with XL recommended from a 32” waist size.

We recommend trying the seat before you buy, however the dimensions of the Revolution X are included below, which should give you an accurate idea of sizing:

You can choose from the following coloured cushion options when ordering your seat. Changing the colour of your cushion set may change the fabric type:

Embroidery

Top Stitch & Gel Coat Upgrade

A Top Stitch Upgrade changes the colour of the stitching that features throughout your seat, from the standard white to the colour of your choice.

Gel Coat Upgrade

Only available on System 1 (GRP/KEVLAR) shells, a Gel Coat Upgrade allows you to change the shell colour from the standard Gloss Black to the colour of your choice. If you have a specific colour you would like, providing the RAL code will help us match it exactly. Popular colours include Red, Yellow, Green, Blue and Purple.

All of our Pro-team alloy side mounts are FIA approved, our 90°, 90° extended and restricted space options, are to aid with installtion where space is at a premium.

Fitting Revolution X

We strongly advise having your Revolution X seat fitted by trained mechanical personnel. All mounting bolts should be secured to 40Nm and checked regularly.
